ListYourNumber collects data solely for the purpose of supplying our providers who support directory assistance call centers.

ListYourNumber sends your listing data to a variety of directory assistance aggregators who in turn deliver directory listing data to most of the telecommunication providers throughout the country

We provide our customers with a vast array of opportunities to be visible. In today’s economy all businesses should maintain a presence both online and off; so to answer your question yes we do; but you will have to select the appropriate package in order to be provided this service

Yes; it most certainly does. We provide each paying customer a listing in the printed white page directories

We use your email address as a form of validation as well as communication. If you fail to provide and validate your email you will not be able to use our service.

Yes. You may click on Find my listing and the system will send an email containing a link with which you can edit your listing information, updates to your listing typically take 72 ours.

It will take two to three business days for your listing to propagate most directory assistance databases. Some carriers however take much longer to update their databases and thus your listing must go through their normal listing and update cycle.

Verifying your listing with us is a breeze. There is NOT one great gigantic directory assistance database so which database you access; greatly depends on the carrier you are going through to obtain your dial tone service. Typically if your telephone carrier does not maintain the directory listing then the carrier may opt to buy non maintained telco data from another provider. If the listing is not available in either source then your listing will not be available to the caller. We submit your listing to a multitude of listing aggregators and providers so most of the time your listing can be obtained from any telephone with directory assistance capability.

Only when necessary, our system will logically auto format your listings and standardize addresses according to USPS data. However, If there is data that requires punctuation please provide as our computers can never be as savvy as you.

You should carefully review the names you enter, we will not tolerate any profanity or offensive names, and if you attempt to submit a listing with an offensive name we will remove your listing and block your IP address from our site.

CNAM is the name that is displayed on your caller id when someone calls your telephone number. Much like directory assistance databases there isn’t one CNAM database, but we take every effort to ensure that your listed name is fed to as many CNAM database providers as possible to ensure listings name is properly passed along by caller id. On the other hand the called recipients carrier must be a subscriber to one of the providers we submit listings to otherwise the data does not get passed along.
